Another Week Goes By...

I can't believe how fast August went!  Good news is, I've been keeping busy...bad news is, I've been slacking on my blogging & site updates!  Better news is that I have a few blog ideas to post this week...oooh I bet you're all waiting w/bated breath right? 

Well here's some of what you can expect in the next couple days...

Momma's Girl Much?

As if we didn't already know that answer, but this photo proves what a Momma's Girl Vivi is.  I had been laying on the couch w/my knees up...as a "bully blockade"...but it didn't work.  Vivi jumped OVER my knees & onto my chest?!

She's silly!  And I love her for it!

Proud Bully Momma

Yep! I am! This past weekend Vivi & I had a show in Albert Lea, MN with her half-sissy Bailey & Auntie Mary. We faced another 4am wake up & fog so thick you couldn't see more than a car's length in front of you!!!

But it was totally worth it because Vivi picked up another point towards her AKC championship!!! I was really surprised, but of course thrilled!!



But the real highlight of the weekend was having half-sissy Bailey sleep over!! Howie was the most concerned of Bailey fitting in & was her tour guide. It was so cute!

It only took about an hour for the four bullies to get along & then it was like "let's all snuggle!"



It was such a fun weekend & I'm just so proud Vivi for her win & of Howie, Doc & Vivi for being such nice bullies to Bailey!!

Bully Prayers

Every once in awhile the bullies, dogs & humans in our lives need some prayers.  So for all those that need some right now...these are for you!

Howie attended Sunday's St Paul/Minneapolis Bulldog Club's meeting!  Over all he was pretty well behaved...over all I said.  Regardless he had a good time & that's all that matters!

Braggin' About My Bully Momma

Hi Everybully!  It's me!  Howie!  I just wanted to tell you all the most awesomest news!!

My bully momma, Hannah, from Bodanna Bulldogs got her CD (Companion Dog) title this past weekend!  I'm so proud!  My bully momma is so smart & behaves so well!  She loves to "work" & impresses many onlookers ringside!!  Especially when she does her "swing"!

Momma Sandy said we could share her win photo!  Look at her!  Isn't she pretty?  She's smiling like Momma Sandy (behind) & her friend Missi who helped Momma Hannah get her title!!  If you want to smile...watch a bully in the obedience ring, they're awesome!!  Maybe someday I'll take after my Momma Hannah!!

An Old Friend, An Owie, Some Ribbons & A Project

 A week in review (with photos)

Since we had Ollie in 2005, there was an albino squirrel we named Al, in our neighborhood.  A few weeks ago I saw Al laying in the middle of the street right outside our house.  I teared up a bit.  About 20 min later...he was gone.  I have to admit, I was thinking of taking him myself & give him a proper burial, but I thought better of it.  Where did he go?  I don't know...but I DO know last week, we had a baby Al & a baby black squirrel (see him coming down the tree trunk), in our front yard!!  Yay!  Al (or Al Jr) is back!!

One night last week I happened to look down at Doc's back feet & saw something...OWWWWEEEE!  Poor Doc!  It looks like an interdigital cyst, but it doesn't at the same time.  I'm treating it as such as I did send the photo around & asked others what they thought, but dang...it's clearly already popped.  It looks like a deflated pink grape...poor thing.

Vivi had a show in Onalaska, WI (near La Crosse) this past weekend.  So we made the 2.5 hour trip on both Saturday & Sunday.  We were on the road each morning by 5am...but it was worth it because Vivi won Winner's Bitch on Sunday, getting another point towards her AKC Championship.  Yay Vivi!!

Finally, a project (and I use that term loosely) I've had on my "to do" list for months, finally got done this past week!  It started with a photo I took of Ollie about 3 weeks before he passed & I always loved it of him. 

This winter I ended up getting the same photo of Howie, Doc & Vivi.  In February, I bought a frame...just didn't have the photos developed yet.  So I finally made myself take the USB drive with the photos I've had in my bag since May to Target & had the photos developed (sooooo old school) & then poof!  Finished project!!  Yay!!

Wow...what a fun week in review!  Hope you all had a great week too!!
